Adams University evolved from a humble start in 1991, first operating out of a mailbox in Louisiana before moving to Saipan. From these modest beginnings, under the leadership of Dr. Donald Grunewald, we grew into what we are today, a family-owned school reaching the unreachable and impacting lives around the globe through distance education.
As we grew, our innovative courses attracted the attention of critics and supporters alike. The idea of a virtual university with no campus shocked the academic elite and threatened centuries of academic tradition. Our pioneering success and experiment in nontraditional education demonstrated the viability of high-quality career-focused distance education. Today, online education is an accepted norm, but, when we began, learning business skills from home was largely unheard of. It was this void that Adams Smith University sought to fill.
Today, Adam Smith University has thousands of graduates from around the world. For today’s professionals, evolving with the times is an important characteristic of success. While traditional institutions face financial struggles, Adam Smith University continues to grow. In a landscape where other privately held schools have risen to shine and have fallen just as quickly, Adam Smith University has stood the test of time. This year marks the school’s 34th anniversary.
