Joel Milliner's Role

Joel reviews and oversees the courses in health and biology,  which introduces students to the fundamental concepts of healthcare. This includes developing and designing curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensuring student engagement. In addition, he provides academic counseling to students and assesses student coursework.

This foundational course, Introduction to Biology, defines biology and its relationship to other sciences. It examines the overarching theories of life from biological research and explores the concepts and principles of the study of living organisms and their interaction with the environment. It discusses how life is organized into hierarchical levels, how organisms use and produce energy, and the development of living organisms as part of the life cycle, including how life responds to the environment, evolves, and adapts to the environment.
