About Steven Rawlins

Steven Rawlins is a professional business consultant living in Brentwood, Tennessee. Mr. Rawlins has more than three decades of experience helping clients achieve both short and long-term objectives. His clients have ranged from individual start-ups to Fortune 250 corporations as well as academic institutions and major medical facilities. He brings a wide-range of industry experience including work with e-commerce, manufacturing, chemical, medical, mortuary, banking, biomedical, and healthcare companies. He has extensive experience working with technology, marketing, and public relations firms.

He is highly experienced in international trade and has assisted clients in entering the global marketplace. Extremely competent under pressure, Mr. Rawlins is known to be called upon during crisis, when communication is key. Analytical and articulate, Steven Rawlins is comfortable from the boardroom to the shipping dock. Prior to his work at Adam Smith University, Mr. Rawlins served as Chief Financial Officer for several healthcare service companies and consulting firms. Previously, he was the Senior Vice President of an international manufacturing/distribution company. During his tenure, the firm grew from a humble start-up to the second position worldwide within its market.

Steve Rawlin's Role

As Dean of our Business School, Steve Rawlins serves as the chief academic and
administrative officer for our Business Programs,  and, as such, provides
vision and leadership to the university. His responsibilities include articulating
strategic vision; managing the strategic planning process; ensuring academic integrity; overseeing faculty and staff selection; and supporting excellence in teaching.

For many of our fundamental business and marketing courses, Steve will guide students directly. His approach to education administration includes instruction as well as oversight.Â
