Adam Smith University is committed to providing quality student services. Academic Advisors, Student Counselors, and Faculty publish information to answer the most common questions. They are also available by email or telephone to answer student questions, provide guidance as needed, and support the educational process. When a student inquiry or request is received, they do their best to respond quickly.Â
Admissions AdvisorsÂ
Admissions Advisors are often the student’s first contact with Adam Smith University and, as the name implies, can advise applicants on the requirements for admission to Adam Smith University. The Admissions Advisor can assist students with acquiring the documentation necessary to enroll in a specific program, provide guidance on submitting that information to the Registrar or create a plan of study. The Admissions Advisor is available to answer questions about tuition options, degree requirements, and expectations. In this regard, they assist the Registrar and Academic Deans in the fulfillment of their obligations.
Student Counselors
Student Counselors act as students’ on-going connection to Adam Smith University and as the students’ critical source of support and information about their program. In their role as a trusted advisor to the student regarding program details, they are there to provide encouragement to students with their performance and progression from enrollment through completion. The Student Counselor’s coach students on time management and establish benchmarks for the student to successfully progress through the program. They help students identify their learning strengths and weaknesses and connect them with the appropriate resources and advice to master program content. Students can contact their counselor through the student portal or via email.
The Faculty
Our faculty is here to answer course specific questions in their area of expertise. A student who struggles to grasp the key concepts may be pointed in the right direction to learn more about the topic. The instructor can also answer questions about course requirements, clarify or expand upon any information presented, and provide additional information deemed relevant to the outcome of the course. Students should first consult the course syllabus and review the course materials, but if they still need assistance, the faculty is here to help guide them along the learning process. Technical Support
The Director of Information answers all technical support-related inquiries. Students who have difficulty logging in, progressing through a course, or using a feature of the Adam Smith University website, should first attempt to resolve the issue using the provided tools. In the event that they still experience issues with the functionality of the website or with accessing it, they should submit a support ticket from within their Student Portal or email the Director of Information Technology, with a description of the issue.
Registrar Services
The Office of the Registrar evaluates transcripts and determines eligibility for transfer credits, formulates degree plans based on the transfer credits awarded, assesses program completion and confers degrees. The registrar enrolls students in classes according to their degree plan. In addition, the registrar provides degree verification services for graduates and sends official transcripts as requested.
